AN ACT TO PERMIT THE CITY OF HENDERSON TO PARTICIPATE IN THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION PROGRAM AND TO LEND OR GRANT THE MONEYS RECEIVED FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT TO PRIVATE DEVELOPERS.
Whereas, the Congress of the United States enacted the Housing and Community Development Act of 1977 (Public Law 95-128) authorizing the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to make Urban Development Action Grants to distressed cities and towns which require increased public assistance and private investment to alleviate physical and economic deterioration; Now, therefore,
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. Section 3 of Chapter 1190, Session Laws of 1979 (Second Session, 1980) as amended by Chapter 11, Session Laws of 1981, is further amended by adding immediately after the words "City of Clinton" the words, ", City of Henderson".
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
