SENATE BILL 6

 

AN ACT TO CLARIFY THE PROCESS OF CERTAIN APPEALS BY AREA MENTAL HEALTH, MENTAL RETARDATION AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE AUTHORITIES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  The last sentence of G.S. 122-35.53(g) is rewritten to read:

"The Department may withdraw funds from a specific program of services not being administered in accordance with an approved plan and budget after written notice and subject to an appeal in accordance with G.S. 122-35.50 and G.S. 150A."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 1983.
