HOUSE BILL 1160

 

AN ACT TO MAKE THE EMPLOYEES OF THE AGENCY FOR PUBLIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS SUBJECT TO THE STATE PERSONNEL ACT.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 143B-426.11(9) is amended by rewriting the sixth sentence to read:

"Subject to the provisions of the State Personnel Act and with the approval of the Board, the Executive Director may appoint, employ, dismiss and fix the compensation of such professional, administrative, clerical and other employees as the Board deems necessary to carry out the purposes of this Part; but any employee who serves as the director of any division of the agency which may be established by the Board shall be appointed with the additional approval of the Secretary of Administration."

Sec. 2.  This act is effective July 1, 1983.
