HOUSE BILL 917

 

AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE TAKING OF FOXES IN ALAMANCE COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, there is an open season for taking foxes with weapons during the season for taking rabbits as established by regulation by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

Sec. 2.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, there is an open season for taking foxes by trapping from January 2 through January 31 of each year.

Sec. 3.  A season bag limit of 30 applies in the aggregate to all foxes taken during the weapons and trapping seasons established in this act.

Sec. 4.  The Wildlife Resources Commission shall provide for the sale of foxes taken lawfully pursuant to this act.

Sec. 5.  This act shall apply only to Alamance County.

Sec. 6.  This act shall become effective October 1, 1989.
