HOUSE BILL 1021

 

AN ACT TO REQUIRE THAT ALL STATE AGENCIES ISSUING BUSINESS LICENSES OR PRIVILEGE LICENSES REPORT QUARTERLY TO THE BUSINESS LICENSE INFORMATION OFFICE THE NUMBER OF LICENSES ISSUED BY CATEGORY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  Article 4B of Chapter 147 of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:

"§ 147-54.19. Report by State agencies.

Each State agency issuing licenses shall, on a quarterly basis, report to the Office the number of licenses issued during the previous quarter.  The report shall be broken down by category, and shall be made on a form prescribed and furnished by the Secretary of State."

Sec. 2.  This act applies with respect to licenses issued on and after July 1, 1993.

Sec. 3.  This act is effective upon ratification.
