HOUSE BILL 1552
AN ACT to implement a recommendation of the joint legislative administrative procedure oversight committee to delay the effective date of the locksmith licensing act and to allow the locksmith licensing board to adopt temporary rules.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of S.L. 2001-369 reads as rewritten:
"SECTION 3. G.S. 74F-5 and
G.S. 74F-6, as enacted in Section 1 of this act, and Section 3 of this act are
effective when the act becomes law. The remainder of the act becomes effective July
1, 2002. January 1, 2003."
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding G.S. 150B-21.1(a)(2), the North Carolina Locksmith Licensing Board may adopt temporary rules to implement S.L. 2001-369 until January 1, 2003.
SECTION 3. Section 1 of this act becomes effective August 16, 2001. The remainder of this act is effective when it becomes law.
