SENATE BILL 67

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE SURRY COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO convey property by gift TO YADKIN COUNTY AND TO LEASE A PORTION OF ANY STRUCTURE SUBSEQUENTLY BUILT ON THAT PROPERTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of G.S. 115D-15, G.S. 115D-15.1, Article 12 of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes, or any other provision of law, Surry Community College, upon approval by its Board of Trustees, may convey by gift to Yadkin County some or all of its right, title, and interest in the 34.017441 acre parcel located in Yadkin County, North Carolina. This parcel is designated parcel number 129880 and is recorded in Yadkin County Deed Book 483, Page 527.

SECTION 2.  Notwithstanding any provision of law, Surry Community College may include as a condition of conveyance a requirement that Yadkin County lease to Surry Community College for a term of up to 99 years any portion of any structure built on that portion of parcel number 129880 that is conveyed by gift from Surry Community College to Yadkin County.

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
